As part of capacity building of schools through SsS workshops conducted by IAP (and its training partners, if any), SSS also aims to train some selected teachers of the school in the contents of the modules and their operationalisation, and also to give the SSS training toolkits to the involved schools.
Two such trainings will be done through trainers of IAP (else it’s training partners), on two separate days in each school; the first to familiarise the teachers with the content and operationalisation, and the second to observe and support the teachers to train the students by themselves. The teachers thus trained will be expected to similarly train (using the SSS toolkit) all the remaining classes and sections of the school within the next academic year/1 year, and to periodically hold refresher courses for the trained students, ideally every six months, and at least once every year.
Therefore, it is desirable for the schools to select and depute ideally 6, and if possible at least 4, of its teachers to attend the SSS trainings by trainers of IAP, and to similarly train all the rest of the classes and sections of the school using the training modules and methodology of SSS.
